ootd- pink patent, pastels and petals and five things I need from anthro. like right now.

looking in the mirror this morning I realized one little potential problem with today's outfit: I look just a wee bit like a walking easter egg. Oh well, at least its seasonally appropriate, right?
the weather is absolutely gorgeous again and I fully intend on spending my day enjoying it... as soon as I am done with classes/work in this godforsaken law building. the only unfortunate thing about my day is that I'm going to seriously regret it tomorrow as basically all my plans after 3:30 pm involve drinking- I'm meeting a friend for an afternoon drink, then going to the philly art museum's art after five (happy hour at the art museum, best idea ever,) and then going to a belgian bar with the boy for mussels, fries, burgers and, of course, beer. I'm going to be a zombie saturday, its official, and I need to just accept it.

button down- anthro- no longer online.
necklace- from O'keefe from anthro- no longer online
jeans- rock and republic
shoes- cheapies from urban original, sold out (don't worry your not missing anything- they are sooo uncomfortable, a shoe change change will be 100% required if I decide to do anything that requires walking more than three blocks) these and these are a nice, and probably more comfortable alternatives.

I've been trying to shop less as of late- mostly because a) my closet is overflowing and I really need to use more of the piles and piles of clothing I already own (I feel like i've said this 1000 times and I never stick to it) and b) i've decided to not tae out a bar loan, or any loan of any form to pay for the bar exam and class and related expenses, so I'm going to have to live a little more frugally than I am used to over the coming months as a result of that decision, but, regardless one, or two of these new(ish) arrivals at anthro might have to come home with me sometime over the next few weeks.

sunrise & midnight dress- I am beyond in love with this. the colors, the cut, its all so pretty. I hope it lives up to my expectations in real life.

cooling palette dress- too pretty, the colors are soothing, and its just the perfect just throw on and run out the door summer dress.

meeting place tank- I'm not usually drawn to stripes, and I pretty much never go through and buy anything with them, but I really like the detailing and cut of this.

coil flower tank- ok so this piece makes me want to go out and buy a red skirt, or maybe shorts, i love the idea of pairing it with a solid red bottom (as they did in the catalog)

refracted tieback- this is such a breezy and easy summer piece and it would go great with so many different bottoms.

  2. Cute outfit and nail polish! It's really springy and not easter eggy at all. Not taking out a bar loan is wise... I saved money Spring semester for Barbri/living expenses during the bar and I think I had $28 left in my account on the last day of the bar. Cut it really close but it's do-able!
