ootd and monday health and fitness recap (x2)

Ok just for full discloure-today's ootd, is really yesterdays- I'm a day behind and will catch up tomorrow because I most definitely did not have time to snap any photos of todays (nor was it remotely photo worthy in my humble opinion) Yesterday was one of those days where I got dressed and did't really love my outfit or feel like everything worked particularly well together even though I thought it look fab all laid out. I hate it when that happens- i'll go in thinking its going to look great, put it on and am just kind of, underwhelmed by the whole thing. This one kind of redeemed itself because several random people made comments on it while I was out and a about, but I still am kind of meh on the overall look. now that I'ved hyped (or not hyped it up, depending on how you read that) here it is:

dress- maremeko for anthro
bag-gucci
shoes cheapies from urban original- here
necklace- double torsade from anthro

onto a recap of last weeks health and fitness goings on- I was ok last week given the whole finals thing. I ate really healthy and didn't drink at all until the weekend (a rarity for me) so that was great, exercise wasn't bad, but wasn't great:

3 yoga sessions
2 runs ( each 5 mi)

I just realized I didn't post the week before so here it is- I was perfect, at least in my opinion (and I suppose when evaluating my personal fitness goals thats really all that matters)
3 yoga sessions
1 1/2 hour on the elliptical
3 runs (6, 5.5 and 4.5 miles)
2 strength sessions.

If I could just manage that every week I'd be super proud of myself, but alas that kind of week happens about 1 out of 5 weeks. Though I wasn't so perfect on the food/drinking front- I ate pretty healthy, but drank far too much.

  5. Congrats on staying with your workout and healthy eating! As for letting loose this weekend with some epic drinking -- didn't you just finish law school? And isn't that a cause for celebration? I think so, haha! The dress is super cute, and even though YOU don't think it worked, I do!

  7. Natalie,
Yes, buy Splash of Grenadine! I can only speak for myself, but it is such a pretty color. I am staring at my toes as we speak and coupled with the CV sandals, they look so cute if I do say so myself!

  12. Lisa, manolochoolou- Thanks

Bella- I do Vinyasa/power yoga most of the time. When I splurge on classes I've done Bikram hot yoga, but I often just do the classes at my gym which are just vinyasa, or dvd's which I have a couple power yoga dvd's of (baron babtiste and Rodney yee are my favs)

Amy- thanks-I suppose your right, finishing up law school is a reason to drink, far, far, too heavily ;)

Beautygirl- they are comfy- I've worn them for a day of walking around the city twice now and they make it a good 3ish miles before I find myself getting a little unhappy about my footwear choice.

    DEA, Goldenmeans- thanks!!

Laura, Veronika- thanks- and the color is essie's guchi muchi puchi.

  17. helena- thanks!
Tres tippy - thanks! I'm not really keeping track of calories (but I used to and I used calorie counter and loved it) as I'm not really in a routine, i've been doing about what I do now for a couple of years, I'm just kind of trying to keep myself accountable by posting it all here.

Jenna- thanks- unfortunately I don't know the name of the dress. I bet that one of the far more expert ladies at effortless anthropologie or anthroholic might be able to help u with that though!

    whitney- thanks!
